Story time

20th June 2003 at 01:00
If you fancy helping children at KS2-3 to rescue a stolen circus elephant while they improve their writing skills, then visit Storysmith, a website with free interactive story games. Children can become participant characters simply by defining themselves, choosing different degrees of physical, mental, social (and occasionally magical) skills. An adult is needed to keep the narrative moving, making sure that the straightforward rules are followed. Through guesswork, imagination, discussion and luck, the story proceeds through a balanced mixture of fantasy and reality. The site is not-for-profit, and will soon house more plots. Storysmith is free of charge.
