Ready for action


Education Scotland has launched Ready for Emergencies?, a new online resource to support lessons in emergency resilience. It gives teachers access to materials on six key scenarios that pose the most immediate threat to communities, according to the Scottish government's Ready Scotland website.

On a knife edge


A team of five pupils from St Andrew's Academy in Renfrewshire has won the We-CTV Awards 2012 for its film, One Knife Can Change More Than One Life. The top three films were judged by representatives from the BBC, Young Scot and Scottish Youth Parliament. The runners-up were Ardrossan and Calderside academies.
