Pupils from Kirkwall Grammar and Stromness Academy in Orkney produced a newspaper supplement, Deutschland Today, highlighting German culture and language. The supplement, distributed by local newspaper The Orcadian, included articles on Germany's climate change plans, political system and popular culture.

Poster in Gaelic


Stonewall Scotland's straight-talking poster "Some people are gay. Get over it!" has been translated into Gaelic: "Tha cuid de dhaoine gay. Gabh ris!" Developed to help schools tackle homophobic bullying, the slogan in English features in material distributed to every secondary school in Scotland.
