Films on Glow


A new resource encourages pupils aged eight to 15 to engage with science across the curriculum. The Glow Science website has over 500 films and related materials. Chemistry and physics topics include Newton's laws of motion; the earth science section covers topics from volcanoes to renewable energy.

All joined up


Historic Scotland has launched its schools programme for 2011-12 with a focus on the Picts through to the Royal Court and the First and Second World Wars. It takes in cross-curricular activities, bringing subjects such as science and art together with history.
