School life

A Portrait of Madras College, edited by journalist Lorn McIntyre, is a limited edition book capturing "almost everything" that has happened in and out of the school over a year. Photographer Peter Adamson caught everything from S1 pupils arriving on the first day to S6 pupils at their leaving ball, and teachers and pupils contributed the articles.

Training ahoy

Outdoor learning

The Scottish Orienteering Association is running one-day CPD courses for schools or youth groups. The first course will enable teachers to introduce orienteering to pupils in an enjoyable way; the second covers more advanced techniques and is more relevant to secondaries. Contact Hilary Quick on 01479 861374 or email hilary@scottish-orienteering.org.
