Since the 1980s.

What do you read first?

Articles on national curriculum and assessment developments, then, as a biology specialist, anything on sciences.

What should there be more of in TESS?

I enjoy the interviews, which give a chance to read short, informative answers about people in or associated with the profession.

Who would you like to see writing in TESS?

Pupils given positive and life-changing experiences by Scottish teachers.

What's the best thing we've done?

The superb 30 March piece on Newbattle Peak Performance Academies, of course.

What would you be excited to see on the front page?

"CfE success means Scotland takes No.1 spot in international education league tables"
