What do you do?

Member of education services directorate in Glasgow, with responsibility for curriculum, learning and teaching.

How long have you subscribed?

I can't remember - at least 10 years.

Why did you start?

I like an overview of key issues across and outwith Scotland.

What do you read first?

Comment and analysis - I confess some views do make me cross when they don't match my own. I'm also a fan of Morris Simpson.

What should there be more of in TESS?

Political news affecting education.

Who would you like to see writing in TESS?

Education directors on how they tackle key issues in their authority. It would be good to have guest academics writing a column.
