Supply on demand

12th January 1996 at 00:00
Finding teaching work through an agency is one way to gain experience while making a career decision. LHR Education is a supply teacher agency run by teachers for teachers in London which, in addition to being a source of jobs, offers guidance on the whole application process.

Vacancies range from half a day to a whole school year, depending on the requirements of the applicant. The agency offers an induction training service, particularly targeted at newly qualified teachers, to acquaint them with the LHR Code of Conduct, discipline procedures, and the national curriculum and the agency's staff can share first-hand experience of working in London schools.

Further details can be obtained from Paul Howells, managing director, LHR Education, tel: 0181 579 9899.
