Support staff

Teachers voted unanimously for a review of the resourcing of commitments made in the 2001 teachers' agreement, particularly the provision of an additional 3,500 support staff. Union salaries convener Dougie Mackie said there was to be a 10 per cent reduction in his area of Argyll and Bute as part of "efficiency savings".
