CLAIRE Ward, Labour MP for Watford, has called on the Government to ban the sale of sweet chewing tobacco imported from India as it is aimed at a young market. Doctors have reported a rise in pre-cancerous mouth lesions among children. Trading standards officers in Birmingham found that eight out of 10 shops were willing to sell the product to under-16s.
