A documentary showing how to reduce primary absence by a third is being screened on Teachers TV.

The 15-minute film follows truancy officers on patrol and recording officers as they make a home visit to a parent whose daughter's attendance has slipped to 67 per cent. The anti-truancy team, run by The Learning Trust, managed to reduce primary absences by 30 per cent in five years.
