Tale of stolen opportunities

Stephen Jones's article "Where will this betrayal end, Mr Conscience?" (28 January) was a precise analysis of the bleak future facing students under the Coalition.

I also work in an FE college and the damage currently being done to our students is heartbreaking. It seems it was all very well for Simon Hughes, Michael Gove and countless other MPs to benefit from a free education, but they cannot see why today's young people should have the same and equal opportunities.
