Talented, gifted, or just bright?
Many researchers do not make a distinction between gifted and talented.
Still, it does give rather more status to artsportmusic than has been traditional.
What made me want to "burn my thesaurus" was the assertion that many educationists cannot get beyond the inference that this is the main reason why schools do not consider provision for these pupils.
During my time they have been called able, very able, exceptionally able, able learners, gifted, talented, and of marked aptitude. Over to you, Stephen. What would like them called?
