Teachers suspended

27th December 2007 at 00:00
Two teachers have been suspended from Folkestone Academy in Kent after mobile phone footage showed them tying up a 16-year-old student in an engineering lesson. He was restrained with cable and left writhing on the floor. The incident was referred to police and social services, but it is understood that no charges will be brought. The teachers have been suspended while the school carries out its own investigation.
