Teesside - Rest in peace

25th September 2009 at 01:00

A pupil takes time out in a garden of remembrance created by a Teesside school after several students lost close family members and friends last year.

The garden was funded with almost #163;2,000 from Redcar and Cleveland's extended schools programme and the Youth Opportunities Fund.

Pupil Alex Bennett said: "Lots of students in this school last year lost parents and close relatives. It was a sad time. The area's much better than what it was like - some of the bushes were bigger than me." RV.
