Theatre course

Scottish Youth Theatre is set to run its first musical theatre course as part of this year's summer festival.

The two-week course, based at the King's Theatre in Edinburgh, is designed to help performers aged 16-25 develop their potential and performance skills.

The course runs from June 28 to July 10 and includes dance skills, voice tuition, singing tuition and acting for musical theatre. Participants can expect to put together a piece of musical theatre to perform in front of a paying audience.

The cost of the course is pound;200. The closing date for applications is May 17. Auditions may be part of the selection process. For further information call 0141 221 5127.
