There is a limit;Letter

YOU reported Doug McAvoy as saying that it was impossible to stipulate a limit on teachers' working hours (TES, September 17)

To the best of my knowledge the NUT supports the European working-time directive.

The NUT along with the NASUWT and others, have submitted various claims to both employees and the review body for appropriate limits on working hours and, indeed, class sizes, contact time and allied matters.
