Think of morale;Letter

Ted Wragg's TESGreenwich lecture (TES, May 16) joins the list of apocalyptic visions about boys over the past couple of years. Those of us who work closely with, and write about, boys know that there are many who succeed in, outside and beyond school, and that there are many teachers and schools who can be held up as examples of good practice.

I saw none of this in Ted Wragg's article, nor in the highly emotive and negative front page of TES2.

I seem to remember Ted Wragg warning about the demoralising effect of attacks on teachers. Does this not apply also to boys?
