Thought for the day

Some politicians need to keep their thoughts to themselves. At the solemn hand-over by the EIS of its class sizes petition to Hugh Henry last week, the Education Minister was moved to complain about his Blackberry.

Apparently, when he took up the portfolio, a civil servant suggested he get one. He said he'd think about it. Turning up for work the following day, there was the Blackberry on his desk. "I thought I said I was just thinking about it," he grumbled.

It's touching, nonetheless, that the mandarins want to keep in such close contact with their minister.
