Thumbs-up for FEDA

More than 7,000 staff in 521 further education institutions used the services of the new Further Education Development Agency last year, the first annual report of the organisation for curriculum and staff development and research shows. Eight out of 10 participants gave FEDA events a grade 1 or 2 on a five-point scale of quality.

A further 5,000 people were involved in FEDA's General National Vocational Qualifications' support programme, funded by the Department for Education and Employment. More than one in six users of this service classified it as "first rate" in follow-up questionnaires.
