Time for transition

Children in Scotland is holding a one-day seminar on Developing through movement: helping children make the transition from nursery to primary school, with kinesiologist and education consultant Brendan O'Hare. The CPD event, on August 19, will look at ways to develop children's abilities to sit still, listen and concentrate; develop gross and fine motor skills; co-ordinate the left and right halves of the brain and body; integrate upper and lower body awareness and prepare for reading and writing. The seminar is aimed at all those working with children in early years and primary settings from the ages of three to eight.
