Too few aboard the headship

10th November 1995 at 00:00
Almost prophetic! You brought into focus the difficulty of attracting suitable candidates for headships just as I had three applications pending (TES, October 13). Only one of the schools had sufficient candidates to shortlist.

As one who is qualified for the job (Certificate of Further Studies in Education - Preparation for Headship - Nottingham University) I find it frustrating that further career progress is being stifled in this way.
