Too much for one subject?

It is common knowledge that geography is the worst taught primary subject, but what is being done to tackle the issue?

Our own authority has run a popular three-day course on the subject entitled "Location, location, location" - but when details of it were sent to three neighbouring authorities, not one replied. And this week, schools got a pamphlet from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority advertising teacher assessment activities in foundation subjects - which failed to mention geography. Until local authorities and the QCA pay more attention to geography, it will continue to decline.
