Top nursery rhymes

9th October 2009 at 01:00

"Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" is the favourite nursery rhyme in all regions in the UK except the North East, where "Incey Wincey Spider" was the number one choice, a survey of 2,500 people by the charity Booktrust has found. Booktrust runs the Bookstart programme, which gives packs of free books to every child in the UK at the age of 18 months, three and five. One million books containing the nation's top eight rhymes will be produced and distributed to celebrate Bookstart.
