Top teacher bows out

One of Cardiff's most charismatic teachers has announced his resignation after 40 years of teaching. Barrie Phillips, head of middle school at Fitzalan High, will bow out at an event to raise money for a new multimedia and dramatic arts suite at the school. The music and dance reunion will be held at the city's Coal Exchange next Thursday. Mr Phillips told TES Cymru: "I simply did not have the time for all I wanted to do while in the post."
