Training lift-off

Modern Apprenticeships have taken off in the aircraft industry as the first eight candidates signed up for training with Short Brothers, Slingsby Aviation and York College of Further and Higher Education last week. The young people signed up at a recruitment event organised by North Yorkshire Training and Enterprise Council in an industry blighted by skills shortages.
