Travel grants

* Goldsmiths' mid-career refreshment grants. Awards of up to pound;5,000 for primary and secondary teachers across the UK for travel, usually overseas, of four to six weeks. Applicants must have at least 10 years'

* Winston Churchill Memorial Trust grant. Grants cover an overseas stay of between four and eight weeks. Not exclusive to teachers, but applicants put forward travel proposals which must fall under the trust's nominated categories, one of which is usually connected to education.
