Tread carefully

A Dragons' Den-style grilling awaits pupils at three secondary schools.

Kinross High, Speyside High and Airdrie Academy are the first Scottish secondaries to be shortlisted for Marketing Excellence Awards (schools were not previously eligible). They won recognition for their analysis of a Scottish brand they particularly admired.

The winners will be decided after an interrogation by leading figures in the marketing industry, in the style of BBC television programme Dragons' Den.

The results will be announced by the Marketing Society in Scotland at an awards ceremony in Edinburgh on May 9.
