The truth about milk

10th February 2006 at 00:00
Many young children believe that milk comes from bottles or cartons. They will know better after spending time with From Friesian to Fridge. This interactive CD-Rom takes us on a virtual tour of a dairy farm that treats and bottles its own milk. There are video clips showing how silage is made and how milk is obtained. There's also a chance to "interview" the farmer on location in the milking parlour, the bottling room and the supermarket. An informative booklet completes the package, which has been sent to 2,000 primary schools in north-west England.
