TTA chief moves on

THE head of teacher training at the Teacher Training Agency is to be the new director of education and culture at Lewisham Council, south London. Since joining the TTA in 1995, Frankie Sulke, who began her career as a maths teacher, has spearheaded the reform of initial eacher training, the development of national standards for teachers, the National Professional Qualification for Headship and the Leadership Programme for Serving Headteachers. She said she was now looking forward to improving standards in the London borough.
