Pupils in Stirling's secondary schools can tuck into a new range of healthy meals. Following the success of a pilot at Stirling High, the new menus are being made available in all seven council secondaries. They will operate on a monthly cycle and information, including "tasting tables", will be shared with parents. Part of a three-year pound;1.1 million initiative from the Scottish Executive, the Hungry for Success scheme has already helped fund swipe cards in all secondary schools and remove advertising from vending machines. They all have healthy vending machines and water coolers, while salad bars have been introduced to Bannockburn and Stirling high schools.
