Tune into film festival

Secondary schools are snapping up tickets for the 2011 Glasgow Youth Film Festival, taking place in the city from February 17-27.

Presented by the Glasgow Film Theatre in Rose Street, this year's highlights include a masterclass on film classification; modern language screenings for French, Spanish and German learners; anti-racism and immigration workshops and a fascinating look at the myth of six degrees of separation for budding mathematicians and scientists.

Free teaching resources developed for Curriculum for Excellence accompany certain films. For details, see www.glasgow film.orgfestivalschools.
