From Twitter

The education Twittersphere went into meltdown on Tuesday after the publication of the latest Programme for International Student Assessment (Pisa) results. While East Asian nations dominated the league tables, Western nations - even formerly high-achieving Finland - struggled to keep pace.

The Pisa test allows schools to compare internationally. But should our schools be worried about other countries?

@WalpolePub

Finland may have been spending too much time hosting fact-finding missions and not enough on education in the last few years ...

@anthonypainter

I'm confused. Is it the quality of teaching or the 13hr school day that makes Shanghai better than us?

@Eng_Tweacher

I think we might be about to see the end of "Finland is amazing because of Pisa" pieces.
