Staff bust-ups in the former Strathclyde Region over pay and conditions, which have resulted in a series of lengthy court battles, have obviously got to East Renfrewshire's education department.

Unable to move into accommodation in Eastwood, officials are encamped on floors four and five of a building in Glasgow city centre.

The office of the industrial tribunal enjoys a presence on the second floor. Neighbourly chats may prove fruitful.
