MARY Bousted this week became the first woman to lead one of the big three teacher unions.

Following her narrow victory in the election for general secretary of the Association of Teachers and Lecturers, she will meet members next week at the union's conference in Blackpool. She will hear calls for action against heads who bully staff. News, 6
