Unique on inspection

Scotland is the only country in Europe to use teachers from other schools as associate assessors on inspection teams, according to a study of 30 European countries by the Eurydice education network.

It is also one of only three, with the Netherlands and Portugal, to use the same framework for internal and external evaluation, the system adopted in the inspectorate's How Good Is Our School? document.
