US teaching summit announced for 2011

US education secretary Arne Duncan has announced that an international summit on the teaching profession will take place in New York next year. Following the publication of the Pisa report, the US has invited ministers and union leaders from the top 25 OECD countries, which includes the UK, to convene in March 2011.
