A trial of a "gender-based violence" module is taking place at Kilmarnock College. It will be used to decide whether the Government- backed module could become a topic within the HNC Positive Healthcare for Individuals learning unit. Principal Heather Dunk said it was "imperative" that healthcare professionals understood issues such as domestic abuse, sexual abuse, harassment, stalking and exploitation.
