Last month's Glasgow Junior Volleyball Open, celebrating its 10th anniversary, attracted 39 boys' teams and 31 girls' teams from all over Scotland. Stonelaw High won both the boys' and girls' S2-S3 competitions, while Belmont Academy won the senior boys' event and Mearns Castle High the senior girls'.

The Cardinal Sports Youth Cup tournament, hosted by City of Edinburgh Volleyball Club, is to be expanded this season to take up to 20 more teams in the S1-S4 category.

The tournament will be played at Meadowbank, Drumbrae and Crags sports complexes on February 26, with events for P4-P5, P6-P7, S1-S2 and S3-S4 boys and girls.

The entry deadline is January 31. Contact the co-ordinator, c.e.bruce@btinternet.com
