The Hadrian's Wall Education Directory is a superb example of how a World Heritage Site can be brought to life in children's imaginations. A first-rate practical field guide and stimulus to classroom activities, it has now been updated. New sheets deal with the opening of the Hadrian's Wall path and its potential as a case study in countryside management. Others offer advice about hazards during school outings, provide guidance on handling archaeological objects and suggest work with recipes and costumes.
