A lively exhibition about the food that Scottish Colourist J D Fergusson ate and painted during his time in France before World War 1 broke out. He had oatmeal sent from home to make his daily bowl of porridge. Piped accordion music and a gingham-clad cafe table add to the atmosphere. Visits by children positively encouraged. Taking Shape Costume Gallery, Provost Skene's House, Aberdeen, until June 26

A season of costume exhibitions starts with this one which shows how, in pre-Pamela Anderson days, a woman's shape could be altered with differently shaped corsets, padding, cages and bustles.

The Uncut Cloth Paisley Museum and Art Galleries, June 19 - October 24

A major exhibition featuring over 120 shawls, saris, turbans and other garments (including the original style of the kilt), from both Scotland and South Asia, all fashioned from a single piece of material and designed to be worn without any cutting or sewing having taken place.
