Fergusson and Food Fergusson Gallery, Perth, until October 13

A lively exhibition about the food that Scottish Colourist J D Fergusson ate and painted during his time in France before World War 1 broke out. He had oatmeal sent from home to make his daily bowl of porridge. Piped accordion music and a gingham-clad cafe table add to the atmosphere. Visits by children positively encouraged. Children's workshops during summer holidays.

Taking Shape Costume Gallery, Provost Skene's House, Aberdeen, until June 26

A season of costume exhibitions starts with this one which shows how, in pre-Pamela Anderson days, a woman's shape could be altered with differently shaped corsets, padding, cages and bustles.

The Uncut Cloth Paisley Museum and Art Galleries, June 19 - October 24

A major exhibition featuring over 120 shawls, saris, turbans and other garments (including the original style of the kilt), from both Scotland and South Asia, all fashioned from a single piece of material and designed to be worn without any cutting or sewing having taken place. "The cultural crossover of the single piece garment will be displayed and the trade links between the West of Scotland and the sub-continent will be explored."
