Web boost for recruits

THE Scottish Executive Education Department is setting up a dedicated website aimed at attracting teachers into the profession. Peter Peacock, the Deputy Minister for Children and Education, said the Executive wanted to promote the message that teachng was "a fruitful and rewarding career". The website will be linked to the six institutions providing teacher education. There is also an in-built enquiry service for personal answers. The address is www.scotland.gov.ukeducationteaching
