Welsh primaries on target;In brief

WELSH primary schools are well on their way to meeting the Government's target that no infant class should have more than 30 pupils by the year 20012002. Provisional figures for January this year reveal that the number of five, six and seven-year-olds in classes of more than 30 has nearly halved since last year, from 30,700 to 15,500.
