West is best

Figures released by the new authority in West Lothian show three out of 11 secondary headteachers are women. The figure for women deputes, however, is below the average in the rest of Lothian. West Lothian also has a higher proportion of women primary heads than any of the four new council areas in Lothian. Virtually all primary deputes are women.
