There is a cosmopolitan feel to this week's pick of the resources available on TES Connect, which cover Chinese culture, Spanish language, Mexican migration and pretty much everything you might want to know about New Zealand

1. Be a busy bee

What is it? A worksheet on counting

Who is it for? 3-5s

Why is it hot? Children show their understanding of numbers up to 10 by colouring in the correct number of bees.

2. Green fingers

What is it? A booklet on growing vegetables, to be used with children who have an autistic spectrum disorder

What is it? A collection of 100 puzzles to develop thinking skills

6. Baking mad

What is it? A student workbook on making cupcakes

Why is it hot? Students design and bake cupcakes in a lesson that uses the upcoming Glasgow Commonwealth Games as a theme.

7. Discover China

What is it? PDFs to introduce Chinese culture and history

Why is it hot? Covering 12 subjects including art, Buddhism and the Opium Wars, these PDFs are ideal for a conversation starter or plenary.

8. Spanish success

What is it? A set of Spanish language prompt cards

What is it? An information pack about the 10 Sikh gurus
