Nominated for best non-English language film at the Bafta awards and having swept the board at the European Film Awards, the critically acclaimed Goodbye Lenin! is the international success everyone's talking about.
Alex (Daniel Brohl), aware that a sudden shock could kill his mother (Katrin Sass), who is recently awoken from a coma and unaware that the Berlin Wall has come down, decides to pretend that communism has not been overthrown. This is not easy, especially as Alex and his sister have embraced the changes themselves: Alex is working for a western satellite TV company and his sister has quit college to take up a job at Burger King.
Goodbye Lenin! is available to buy on DVD and to rent and buy on video from March 1 from UGC Films UK and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
