Johannes Vermeer's painting Girl with a Pearl Earring inspired Tracy Chevalier's classic novel of the same name, which sold more than two million copies. The beautiful film version of her story, starring Colin Firth and Scarlett Johansson, was nominated for eight Bafta Awards and three Oscars.

The DVD and book twin pack from Twentieth Century Fox are available to buy priced pound;15.99 and we have six copies to give away if you can answer this question: In which century was Johannes Vermeer born?
