Write Away 2 competition

2nd October 1998 at 01:00
Teaching ideas in the Write Away 2 competition (Primary magazine, September 25) were provided by Lorraine Dawes, the English and literacy co-ordinator for Redbridge.

McDonald's Restaurants has provided Pounds 100 cash for each of the 10 junior finalists and the money to fund a writer's residency at winners' schools, as well as tickets for a matinee at Shakespeare's Globe. The judging of entries by pupils aged seven to 11 will be organised by the National Association for the Teaching of English. If you didn't get your magazine last week, or require further copies, please contact: Robert Moss. Tel: 0171 782 3033
