I take exception to the article in FE Focus (September 12) on funding in libraries. I and many of my colleagues have been trying to dispel stereotyping of librarians for years, when your writer spoils an otherwise serious piece by perpetuating the myth with the phrase "stare across the top of their horn-rimmed glasses" - I find this unacceptable in a "professional" publication.
