IT is wrong to say that parents feel they endured the same level of anxiety as today's GCSE candidates (Research Focus, TES, June 23).
A recent survey for exam board Edexcel showed that the number of parents who thought that A-levels were getting harder was double the number who thought they were getting easier. Opnion on GCSEs was more divided but there were still significantly more parents who thought they were getting harder. Overall, parents said that their children had to study harder than they did.
